An online project for Bert Gallery’s 30th Anniversary

Providence, Rhode Island was the home of several important American painters in the 19th and 20th century. The Providence School contributed to the regional American art scene and many of these artists were also innovators and promoters in the national arena of American painting.

Bert Gallery launches the web project - Thirty Stories of American Regional Painting to challenge auctions, dealers, collectors and curators to re-examine the importance of artists from The Providence School and their contributions to American Art in the 19th and 20th Century.
